I was taking an illustration class this quarter. I really wanted to get back into drawing and update my skills in that department. Here’s an illustration of “Twiggy” (obviously, not totally realistic), but I like how it turned out. The feedback I got was to brighten up the background and I think in general. But I liked the subdue quality of the background, which felt like some of the backdrops you could find in her fashion shots. I also wanted to reference the 70s era – aka the flowers.
It’s made with oils, colored pencils, and acrylics.
