Raise Up
Personal Project, App Concept
Raise Up is a mobile app concept I developed as part of my master's coursework in User Experience Design at Savannah College of Art and Design. Inspired by apps like Charity Miles and Johnson & Johnson's Donate a Photo, I explored how technology could encourage charitable giving by rewarding meaningful social interactions rather than physical activity alone.
The concept reimagined corporate-sponsored giving by allowing users to earn donations for their favorite nonprofits through face-to-face conversations, phone calls, text messaging, and video chats. By encouraging authentic human connection, the app proposed a new model for corporate social responsibility—one that engaged both sponsors and users while helping nonprofits reach new audiences. The project focused on user research, interaction design, interface development, and creating a digital experience that aligned business goals with meaningful social impact.
